Since becoming a DJ my eyes have been open to so much more. Meeting people that I never even knew would be in Las Vegas. Crazy as it may sound, but I grew up differently than a lot of those who take the time and read this. But I’ve been able to do photo shoots, in the infamous Las Vegas Arts District. But it wasn’t always nice, some of the people did not welcome us with open arms. But one lady did take a chance with us, C.J. Aurora of Widow Den.
For over 10 years she has been designing jewelry and clothes that she sells out of her store Widow Den currently located inside of The Arts Factory. But not only does she sell clothes that she designs but as well as other local female designers. I love that she’s for helping out other woman, especially with majority of the industries being male dominant. But what makes her stand out from the other designers is her style of hand made jewelry which she classifies as edgy, bohemian, whimsical and diverse.
My partner at the time (Double Play) loved the wristlets that she designed. I loved that she had so many different options that fit all of our personalities. And the way she styled us, our photographer Sir Fashion knew he was going to have fun with this shoot. As many times as you have been there, from my first photo shoot, to even dressing us for Magic. I want to say thank you to the lovely miss C.J. Aurora for giving us the opportunity to work with you, and everything that you did. You didn’t have to and I really appreciate that.
You can see more of her work at her website, (http://www.widowden.com/) or you can find her store which is conveniently located on the first floor of The Arts Factory on Charleston and Main street.
