imag1915As many of you all may know, I don’t know very much about the Latin Culture. But I love learning about it when being taught. I had my first Burrito (which was a Japanese style burrito) from Truk N Yaki after DJing for them at Magic. But my Latin sets and music is pretty good, if I do say so myself. Lol. So getting to visit Loco Cantina inside of Town Square in Las Vegas was a cool experience. Their style is more Mexican street. Meaning some of the items you might find on the better food trucks with more variety or foods you may find at a festival.imag1917
To start off I had the Stubborn Mule (St. George green Chile, Vodka, Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur, Fresh lime, Agave, & Barritt’s Ginger Beer. Fresh House made guacamole and chips for an appetizer. And to eat I enjoyed their Beef Short Rib (caramelized onions and Mexican slaw, Chihuahua cheese, and black bean puree). But to top everything dessert was my favorite part of the meal. Though I was full when they brought the dessert menu and I seen unfried Ice cream my curiosity definitely peaked. I wanted to know what that was. Lol. So naturally, I ordered it. And man was it good! imag1919Unfried Ice cream I assume is like fried ice cream (I’ve never tried fried ice cream) but not fried. Haha. It is a scoop of ice cream covered in corn flakes, and cinnamon. And it’s really, really good. Trust me.
I had a great time talking with the crew there; everyone was so friendly and willing to help me understand what I was eating. Of course when I tell them my sad story of my lack of experience with Latin food, they all give the same “Really?” look. Lol. Its okay, I’m learning. And now I would like to say that I have had the opportunity to experience Mexican street food. Yummy! See more food reviews at
